REVERIES is an ongoing project of music making for the sake of joy for the sake of music making for the sake of time for the sake of self therapy for the sake of sharing moments for the sake of making your day better. They are all instrumentals, a way to share the ongoing improvisations and compositions and whimsy of cellist/guitarist/composer/whatever Luke Janela. Listen either as an ongoing soundtrack or as a palate cleanser between talkie talk. Listen underwater, in midst of revelation, and especially while walking.

Last night I had the pleasure of practicing with the great Molly Allis and Jenica Anderson of Bear Club. We’ve been playing electric lately, but in preparation for a more intimate show we were armed with marimba, cello and acoustic guitar. And of course their voices. I need to get a good mandolin or fix this ancient one or maybe put strings on it for the first time ever (probably maybe has not had new strings in 40 years) because it’s tuned the same way as a cello (fifths) so I can read sheet music and play along without hating everything. I like this Bach movement the best. From the suites, number 3.
